The express lane is for people with less than 10 items.

OUR ADVICE: Make it instead, "They were fighting about a woman." (Unless they were standing above her.)
He floundered in the woods without his dog.
OUR ADVICE: Flounder is a fish. Better to write, "He foundered in the woods without his dog."
